DMR formed in the spring of 2014.It's members being long time friends and past band mates. Members from Dead Speak(1986-1994,GA) and Overwhelmed. They formed to produce old school death metal where their roots began in the late 80's. Their logo being a vampire skull in front of a tattered rebel flag, was used to pay homage to their southern death metal roots. The name DMR, which means Death Metal Rednecks, was created because...well because it's funny as hell. Influenced by early death metal icons such as: Death, Asphyx, Obituary, Malevolent Creation, Bolt-Thrower, and Cannibal Corpse.
