Colors Live in 1975
COLORS was a band who played unique music around Northern California in the mid 1970s. Their original music is a blend of soulful, inspiring dance music that incorporates elements of jazz & funk. These gigs were recorded at various places including Toad Hall, Albion Azalea Acres & Slade’s on the Mendocino North Coast in the summer of 1975. The band members were: Alan Topher, alto sax, flute Jerry “Coco” Cofrancesco, tenor sax, flute, vocals, percussion Jim Noyes, bass, vocals Mark Gauché, guitar, vocals, trumpet Chris Tay, keyboards, vocals, trombone Peter White, drums This CD production is dedicated to Topher, Coco, and Jim, who have passed on… Their creative spirit continues to live in the music we are fortunate to appreciate more than 40 years later.
