Blessed with the ability to pen an album almost every day, the songwriter previously released material as quickly a possible. Amassing an imposing catalogue littered with psych-pop gems, Jim Noir became a cult favourite, an artist whose work defied expectations in a gleeful fashion. Then he decided to take a break. Eschewing music for the pleasures of day to day life, many feared that Jim Noir was lost to us. But just as quickly as he disappeared, the psych-pop outlaw returned. New album 'Finnish Line' is his first in some time, available via My Dad Recordings on November 3rd. What's it all about? Well try this: "Alcohol. Life. Death. Aliens; in that order I think". "It’s a roam around what I was thinking at a slightly hard point in my life," the songwriter admits. "I stopped drinking for two months and had a moment of clarity. A couple of songs are about Manchester and how weird it is. A couple about myself, girls, how I like to think aliens are just laughing at us and the futility of it all, and a couple about mortality and how, when, if, and why anyone should worry about it."
