Disdain(ed) was a remake originally given to John Prassas of Aesma Daeva by previous collaborator Fox IV in 2011. At the time John was working with vocalist Kassandra Novell on a side project called The Mill Dogs "Aesma Daeva had been on hold while I was working on some side projects” Said Prassas “While in the studio Kassandra mentioned she had found an old email from me written around 2006 asking if she would like to audition for Aesma Daeva. I thought to myself how would the bands history have changed if we had ended up working together back then? At that point it occurred to me that there were a few unfinished songs for Aesma Daeva that had not been finished up. So I played her the remake Fox IV had put together of Disdain.” Last step was to find some other musicians who could bring a different perspective and energy to the mix.
