He is the anchor and He makes us kings Anchor and Kings is a worship band born from the desire to write original worships songs that lift high the name of Jesus. Their music looks to express an honest heart of worship with soaring and anthemic melodies set to a guitar driven rock sound track. The band is made up of five guys from three different Ballarat churches. Paul Mah, Joshua Dwyer, Lachie Searle, Ben Garnham and Justin Gray all play active regular roles in their worship teams. Each has differing tastes in music but share a common desire to worship the creator of the universe. The band can site direct influences from Bellarive, Citizens and Saints, Jesus Culture, Leeland, United Pursuit, Hillsong United and Bethel Music to name a few, but have created a guitar driven sound that wraps around lyrics that speak to the hope and glory found only in God. Anchor and Kings songs are collaboratively written from the hearts of five worshipers who trust in Jesus Christ as their Anchor and bring the songs in the knowledge that in His Kingdom, all are royalty.
