On our ever-growing catalogue of Underground House & Techno, we welcome the latest EP release from Australian rising star, Walker (Aust). In Walkers debut EP on our label, we were introduced to his extremely unique creations via a diverse blend of Groovy Tech House, Minimalistic Rhythms and Bottom Heavy Nu-Disco that maintained extremely detailed in character. In his follow up EP, Counterpoint Rhythm, we experience the next stage of development in his psychedelically eccentric style. Drawing from opulent influences of Minimal Techno, Acid House and Deep Groove, a unique updated version of the Nu-Disco genre is found. Walker takes us deeper into his sound and effortlessly delivers an outstanding EP. Lets Boogie, When We Take It To El Chinos, really exemplifies the creativity that within this artist. Exploring a slightly contrastive and sinister side of his Deep Groove characteristics and shades of Acid, Lets Boogie, When We Take It To El Chinos is a badass little groover that playfully invites you to somewhere a touch darker than his other tracks. As we include the Vocal DJ Tool in this EP release, underground house & techno rising stars &Lez and Sequence also provide extremely good remixes providing a much more refined and club-worthy interpretation of Walkers original mix. Mini Muscattos is a much more relaxed and easy-natured ride. Coy in demeaner, it stylishly follows suit in the core characteristics that are in the creative make-up of a habitual Walker groove. Intelligently planned baseline riffs, psychedelic themes, creatively placed percussion and supremely extraterrestrial vocal samples. The remixes that come with Mini Muscattos, bring a much more bottom heavy approach to the original mix. American DJs cut, being the stand out of the selection, reflects on a more upbeat and club-friendly influence that perfectly maintains a solid groove from start-to-finish. Mattia Musella and SunDee both provide the perfect balance to a more Tech-House focussed deliverance of Mini Muscattos, whilst Rejekt fills it out with his boom-bass dub-esque dark room version that really rounds this EP release out perfectly.
