The band is led by Ruth Mirsky, a dual American-Norwegian citizen born and bred in NYC's Chinatown. Mirsky is joined by Frank Banisi (guitar), Sheldon Chow (bass) and Rich Moyle (drums) to complete Syvia's lineup. "Anxious Animal" was called a DISQUIETED SHOEGAZE GEM by The Wild Honey Pie and selected for Impose Magazine's Week in Pop (December 2015). Their debut FWD was released in February of 2015, garnering critical acclaim across the blogosphere, as well as, in the streets and venues of the band's native New York City.
