Chased from the US, Bulgaria, and South African by visa officers and Republicans, Chris Kelley found a home in Spain. Too many years wandering the planet made a mark on this Nashville native. He reunited with his hometown band Chapel of Roses and began recording some of the songs he wrote during the course of his journeys. Once he found some stability in Barcelona, he recorded more songs and formed a new band, Lost American. Lost American expresses that disconnected feeling of the ex-pat. Everyone can relate to this feeling: it’s when your love leaves you very suddenly and you’re left with a ghost, or when everything you poured your heart into falls apart, or when you get a threatening letter in the mail and you better exit soon.
