Hold on Restless Heart
Bob Spring & The Calling Sirens BOB SPRING was looking for a new band and THE CALLING SIRENS took a different turn after their singer had left the band. Wasn't it obvious to bring these talented acts together? For the rest of the tour THE CALLING SIRENS borrowed Bob's voice. The vibe was great! And that's how the idea came up to collaborate for an album which will be released in March 2015. The result are eleven moody compositions of BOB SPRING combined with the intensely driving arrangements of THE CALLING SIRENS. The music is infused with the essence of blues and folk with a shot of alternative country and rock'n'roll. http://www.bobspringandthecallingsirens.com __________________________________________________________ ARTIST/SINGER-SONGWRITER - Bob Spring Singer-Songwriter Bob Spring just released his second album named „Dust And Arrows“ in May 2014. No squiggles, no moaning, sober but still melodic. The new album of last year’s Krokus opening act sounds like summer, granted, a summer with some dark rain clouds in the sky. Nevertheless: The Swiss-Italo-American does his thing, sort of a mix-up of Alternative-Country, Americana and Singer-Songwriter kind of thing. After the album kick off club tour in his country of origin, Bob Spring is coming to the homeland of his heart, the United States of America. Bob has written and produced an incredible amount of more than 400 songs since he started working on his solo career in 2007. “I am a painstaking songwriter, even though I often find it pretty hard to stay focused.” He already toured the States in 2012 and 2014, and played shows across the country including New York, Nashville and Los Angeles at well-known venues such as the Hotel Indigo (Nashville, TN) or the Whisky a go-go on Sunset Strip in West Hollywood. http://www.bobspring.com _________________________________ BAND - The Calling Sirens THE CALLING SIRENS' music is infused with authentic blues and soul. However, they not only perform it in its traditional, basic form but the band equally shapes these timeless raw materials into a visionary new music full of steaming originality. Founded in 2004, THE CALLING SIRENS have been most at home in exquisite, smaller Swiss venues. They released their atmospheric debut album to critical acclaim in 2009. Their second release, ROUGH SOUVENIR, is clearly more furiously frayed and a lot rougher around the edges. The album was critically acclaimed in most of the national media and successfully promoted live. After their singer had left the band THE CALLING SIRENS continued to play shows with the guest voices of Bob Spring and Nadja Zela. http://www.thecallingsirens.com
