The Tiddly Prom - Bert's Magical Musical Allotment
Music from Bert’s Magical Musical Allotment Bert’s Magical Musical Allotment is an accessible, interactive and informative preschool concert. An opportunity to enchant, amaze and inspire young children and the grown-ups they look after with music. The performance is not only lots of fun but is also educational, teaches listening skills, music, problem solving and team working, in addition to introducing orchestral brass instruments to early year’s children. When we join Bert down on his allotment, we find out how his garden grows and changes through the seasons, with silly songs, terrific tunes, special magic and mayhem. His brass playing musical friends help him grow some award winning vegetables. Bert’s Magical Musical Allotment has been specially designed by the Arts Active team for the under 5’s and is a great opportunity for young children to experience music interactively, with professional musicians in a creative and fun environment. Scored for trumpet, trombone, tuba and percussion the performance introduces these orchestral instruments to the very young. Based on sonata form the music takes us through the seasons as we watch Bert’s garden grow.
