We decided to put out an EP with two Jim songs and two Rob songs. It originally started out as a fun concept, where we'd record the whole thing in one day. We were going to record all guitar/bass/drums at once, and then overdub vocals that night. The goal was that it may sound loose and under produced, but it'll have the feel that we get from practice when we've been playing for a bit. The vibe was going to be REAL strong that way. In the end, we ended up not able to get together at the studio at the same time and had to break it out like a regular album. We kept drums from the eureka space, then redubbed guitars/bass/vocals in my closet. While not the greatest place to be singing, as long as the AC unit didn't turn on we could figure something out. The AC venting was right there as well, so there wasn't much room to do much. It let us have a bit of an intimate setting for doing this though. I'm really happy with how everything turned out, and the songs are a really great time. It goes from the 80's rock anthem to the faster punk to a nice 3/4 jam to bring out the finish. I hope you enjoy the songs as much as we do playing them.
