But what separates the Little Wings from all of the Pavement or Flaming Lips clones is their unique addition of classic country. Without the use of upbeat, obnoxious cowboy-rock inspirations, which could only be heard on an episode of Hee Haw, the Little Wings make gentle reflections through soulful ballads and the occasional use of yodeled vocals. With that, Discover Worlds of Wonder is proof that a band can experiment in crossing genres without resulting in a mess of unlistenable noise.
