Alberto Perez was born and raised in the village of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. He grew up very simply, in a small house in the middle of a mango grove, next to the Rio Cuale in what is now known as the downtown of Puerto Vallarta. He has watched his town grow into a hustling, bustling beach resort town for millions of sunseekers and has run his family restaurant...the famous beachfront La Palapa for over twenty years. But his first love has always been music, and from the age of 12 he has been playing guitar and singing, entertaining visitors and locals alike at La Palapa. Together with Bob, the crazy, hippy guy from Scotland who plays a gorgeous flute, and Memo the even crazier percussionist who beats a mean bongo...Alberto and his trio have serenaded his audience with romantic ballads, rhythmic salsa and smooth jazz favorites. So many of their loyal fans who come year after year to hear this group at the ocean\'s edge of tropical Mexico take home a reminder of a memorable night at La Palapa with a CD in hand.
