It's a pop song, but what struck me most about this song was the cover version of @edward8n24 's that I heard in the winter. More than the electronic orchestration, his piano playing makes me think of heavy curtains, red and green lights at Christmas, and half-eaten gingerbread on a plate. Thus I turned off the bright lights at home and set up my microphone in front of my desk, then started the recording. It's a very modest demo that's been lying around my computer for a long time, mostly guitar and piano, with some dumb-sounding drums, maybe some undercurrent noise and lyrics that don't sound familiar to me. Who’s ‘him’? It’s really a tough question for me. So I decided to present this very simple song to the audience on a day when the weather is getting cooler and I start to look forward to wearing a thick jacket. ‘Him’ is whom you want to share this song with.
