Lindie Lila is a Feminine Divine singer, chantress and dancer. Her music and dance is inspired by Goddess energy, mythology and magic. Lila is a passionate and inpirational teacher with a core focus on womens healing and the essence of the sacred feminine. She is the directress of the independent music label Goddess Music and released the popular album Return of the Goddess-Sacred Chants for women in 2008. Lila is very excited to be producing a follow up CD; Venus Rising- Healing Chants for the Womb in 2012. She is a keen student of Egyptian Culture, music and dance and have been especially touched by the shamanic Zar Healing music at a live concert in Cairo during a visit to the Sphinx Festival in 2010. Here she also experienced and learnt Egyptian dance from her idol, the graceful Mother of Belly Dance, Farida Fahmy for the first time, something she will treasure forever. In December 2011, she attended a two week intensive dance training programme with her mentor, Keti Sharif in Perth and she is currently qualifying as an A-Z Advance Teacher and Accessor. It has been a life long dream for Lila to produce a Belly dance album dedicated to the Goddesses of Egypt, and in February 2012 she will commence this project in Cairo. Lila is a qualified Pulse8 Belly dance fitness instructor, with 10 years experience in belly dance instruction and performance, including instructing a Belly dance Fittness Program at Virgin Active in 2010. Currently Lila runs the Cape Town Belly dancer Entertainment Agency in South Africa, specializing in the booking of Belly dance performances and Hen Party workshops.
