Fortaleza is a gothic metal band native from Veracruz Port in Mexico. Formed in April 2004 with the purpose of create original music and giving its own vision and style to the Metal genre. From this date on, Rito (Guitar) and Javier (Bass) started to get in touch with musicians who where interested in their common objectives. This was the way Paco (Drums), Pablo (Keyboard) and Ariana (Voice) got into the band. In their songs Fortaleza incorporates cultural elements fromVeracruz State, like stories, legends as well as musical phrases of the native songs.   In their own musical conception, besides of singing about common topics, they also try to create consciousness in the people about their inner self and their relation with nature. Fortaleza has 4 albums recorded, "La Fortaleza de la Soledad", "Una Luz Entre Las Sombras", "El Ojo de la Tormenta" and "Fortaleza Oculta".
