The Supremes
全球女子樂團的典範，也是最為暢銷的單曲製造機，更是光榮進入名人搖滾殿堂、並成為黑人音樂大本營Motown唱片旗下最引以為傲的女子兵團！集歌唱外貌於一身的The Supremes，50年代中期成軍之初，原名為Primettes，成員包含Diana Ross、Mary Wilson、Florence Ballard及Barbara Martin，’60年在Lupine唱片發行一張單曲後，被Motown創始人Berry Gordy招攬旗下。剛開始，她們只是合音天使，後來更換團名成The Supremes，才獨立出來錄製專輯，並套換時尚亮眼裝扮，將熱情、歡愉的獨特魅力展現在活潑流暢的曲目中，這時Barbara正式離團，剩下The Supremes三人組合的標準機制，Diana Ross也成為團中主唱及靈魂核心。 ’64年推出"Where Did Our Love Go"登上流行榜冠軍後，也開始了The Supremes不凡的音樂事跡，更成為第一組登上英國金榜冠軍的女子團體。表現相當突出的Diana在’67年將團名改為Diana Ross & The Supremes，再經Berry的鼓勵下於’69年離團單飛，展現多藝長才，跨界演出電視劇及電影，連創佳績在整個70年代。’81年偕同Lionel Richie對唱的經典曲"Endless Love"攻頂排行冠軍長達9週之久！同年她選擇離開Motown唱片，也劃下她在Motown的風光休止符！
